We use a point system to determine who receives BoP loot. We generally use the term 'DKP' to refer to the points or the system. Recruits earn DKP during their trial period, but are not eligible to spend it until they make Raider rank. BoE loot is used to fund the guild bank (i.e. your repairs), explained further at the bottom of this page.

DKP is awarded to raid members both on a regular basis, as well as per raid leader discretion.

* 10 points at the start of the raid
* 7 points at the end of the mid-raid break
* 8 points at the close of the raid

If you are asked to stand by for a raid, and you are able to join the raid within three minutes in the event someone leaves, you'll earn DKP equal to the full night's raid.

We give a 10 DKP bonus for 1st-time boss kills, and a 20 DKP bonus for 1st-time hard mode kills.

DKP is spent on items by whispering your bid for an item to the master looter after the raid warning linking the item, in the form of a !bid command for the raid roller. When you successfully bid, you will receive a whisper from the raid roller confirming your bid.

The minimum bid is 20 and the maximum bid is all of your current DKP. Items go to the highest bidder. The DKP cost is the second highest bid plus 10. If there is no second bid, the cost is the minimum bid. In the event of tied bids, the item goes to the winner of a rolloff for the price bid plus 10. Off spec items cost 5 DKP.

The officers may discard any bid deemed inappropriate. (i.e. warrior outbidding hunter for bow, shadow priest outbidding holy priest for healing set pants, etc.)

Bids are placed by whispering the master looter with !bid # where # is the amount of DKP to bid. You may also use !bid all to bid all of your DKP, or !bid off for offspec.You may not bid again if you have retracted your bid.

Visit this forum post for more details on the raid roller's operation.

In order to curb some undesirable behavior, we have instituted some DKP penalties.

* If you are late for the start of the raid, you forfeit the DKP granted at that time.

* If you are late returning from the mid-raid break, you forfeit the DKP granted at that time.

* If you have to leave before the raid ends, you forfeit the DKP granted at that time.

* If you open a loot chest before the master looter and delay the loot distribution process, you lose 15 DKP.

* If you AFK excessively or leave without notice, you lose all the DKP you were granted for the entire raid.

* If a raider fails to post about his/her lateness/absence, or at the very least, inform an officer directly (people may not relay the information so posting is always preferred), they will forfeit a quantity of their DKP: 50 for first offense, 75 for following offenses. 3rd offense will be met with rank reduction to Casual. Extended unexplained absences will be met with removal of raider rank or gkick, at officer discretion.

 * Every 'Casual' ranked player with more than 100 DKP loses 10% of their DKP at the start of each raid night that they do not participate in. This is a measure to prevent any circumstances with infrequent casuals saving up enough points to take loot from regular raiders.

* If a raider acrues more than 400 DKP, they will lose 4% of their DKP per raid night.

Exceptions may be granted at officer discretion.  For example, if you have to leave early but give enough warning for us to pre-arrange a replacement, we are more likely to make an exception.  Real-life emergencies are always excused without penalty as long as they are actual emergencies.

In the event you lose your internet connection or are otherwise unable to log in to the game, you are treated as if you left without notice ten minutes after the time you go offline.  We understand that it is not your fault, but it should not happen often, thus you shouldn't forfeit DKP often.  As stated above, exceptions may be granted at officer discretion and are more likely to be made when the player exhibits a clear effort to get back online.

Non-DKP raiders (non-guild fill-ins, and recruits) may send in !bid all to indicate a main spec interest in an item, or !bid off to indicate an off spec interest in an item.

The raid roller will interpret and prioritize these bids in the system.

Sorted highest to lowest:

* Raider or Casual main spec (as bid for DKP)
* Raider main spec (without adequate DKP to make a minimum bid)
* Casual main spec (without adequate DKP to make a minimum bid)
* Recruit main spec
* Non-guild and Friends/Family main spec
* Raider off spec
* Casual off spec
* Recruit off spec
* Non-guild and Friends/Family off spec

Our DKP system is pretty straight-forward, but examples usually help people understand. Let's assume Joeraiderguy has 500 DKP and Recruitdude is still in his application period. They are both the same class/spec and are interested in the same type of loot.

* Joeraiderguy bids 500 for an item by sending !bid all (since he has 500, all is 500). There are other bids of 400, 200, 150, and 100. Recruitdude sends !bid all for main spec. Joeraiderguy wins the item and 410 DKP is subtracted from his current amount.
* Joeraiderguy bids 500 for an item by sending !bid 500. There are no other bids. Recruitdude sends !bid all. Joeraiderguy wins the item and 20 DKP is subtracted from his current amount.
* Joeraiderguy is not interested in an item. There are no main spec bids, but a few Raiders !bid off for off-spec. Recruitdude sends !bid all for main-spec. Recruitdude wins the item and does not have any DKP subtracted.
* Joeraiderguy sends in !bid off, and Recruitdude also sends in !bid off. No other raiders are interested. Joeraiderdude wins the item and spends 10 DKP.
* Joeraiderguy and Recruitdude are not interested in an item. There are no DKP bids, but a few Raiders !bid off off-spec. The raid roller will roll and announce the winner, who gets the item and spends 10 DKP.
* Janeraiderchick has spent all her DKP and can't put up a minimum bid. She sends in !bid all to indicate she's interested for main spec. Recruitdude is also interested in the item, so he sends !bid all as well. Janeraiderchick wins the item and goes 20 DKP in the hole.
* Joeraiderguy and Recruitdude are not interested in an item. There are no bids of any kind. The item is disenchanted, and the materials go to the guild bank.

Guild members may purchase items from the guild bank at a 50% discount from current AH prices. BoE's that haven't appeared on the AH yet are priced at an officer's discretion.

In the event multiple players are interested in an item, the item will be sold at the given price on a first come-first served basis, starting from the moment the item hits the bank (i.e. not mid-raid). Item requests may be queued for popular items. To request entry into an item queue, get in touch with an officer and explain the details of your request (type, and quantity). When an item becomes available to meet a queued request, you will be contacted.

If an item has been in the bank for an extended period, it will be taken to auction.
